KILLER WAVES!!!

The past 2 days have been very depressing..will all those news on the disaster that struck Asia..58,000 deaths and counting.

My dept is collecting money to aid the victims...the response has been overwhelming with a couple of them contributing $50/-...now i'm thinking we shld have just save the money from voting in SG Idol for this instead :)
Was watching the news last night, NTUC donating food supplies to the quake victims in India/Sri Lanka...my cousin was saying, "what are they gg to with the rice and milo? their water supply oredi disrupted for gdness sake!"..hehehehe....and to top it off they are still giving bread..yeah right, by the time it reaches the victims it would have turned mouldy..duh!

on a lighter note, i bought a pair of jeans last nite at bossini for $25/-..hehehehe...gd bargain. I was impressed by the staff. He was extremely patient and polite. And he was actually working the full shift from 930am to 11pm(thanks to B2 who was "inquisitive" and asked him how's his working hrs like)! Then it dawned on me why they are like that..its BOSS-SINI...ie the boss is always ard...muahahahahaha!

this fri the mosque are collecting donations for the quake victims..so to all muslimin, pls donate generously. $1/- can only get us a cup of teh tarik..but in Sri Lanka, it can feed a family for a day!..

We learn something new everyday

I admit I'm IT-illiterate..so today i learnt something new. I learnt to put pics on my blog...i know i know go ahead and laugh..well here goes

B1 & B2 in Bintan - celebrating B1's burfdae

thats B2 on the left and B1 on the right..hehehehe...

its christmas eve today so its half day...me gg to KL in the evening..AGAIN? u might ask..well its just to attend B2's cousin wedding..so no shopping this time round..maybe just food..hahahaha!

meditating now to calm my soul ahead of the massive jam expected at both Tuas and Woodlands....mmmmmmmmmmmmm.......

The things ppl do...

Discovered a new eating place yesterday. Its called BUNZ and it was featured in Berita Harian. Basically they sell buns a.k.a pau in a slightly updated version. Its a cross btw pau and pita bread actually. They only have chicken but the magic lies in the sauce...they have 8 sauces including CHILLI CRAB (singaporeans would love it) & BBQ.

Its a gd deal actually...although the drinks could be better. So where do u get these? Its a 8 Liang Seah St (hmmm..wonder if i get commission for spreading this news..hehehehe)

Back to my topic. Was reading 8Days last night..one fan actually rack up $5000/- on phone bills voting for Sly!!!...i mean what was she thinking?? the best part was that did not include voting for the grand finals. Her pic of her posing with her interim bills (when u have extremely high bills, that's what the telco will do..) of diff telcos....one word for her CRAZY!

What can i do for $5000/-??.....I'm sure it will go a long way offsetting my wedding expenses..right B2?...hehehehehe

The soul is rested & at peace

Finally i'm back in gd old singapore. My KL trip went fine but I had some observations...

Complaints
1)I paid $74 for a coach return trip..but the bus for the return trip was crappy..the cover for the overhead compartments looked like they would fall anytime soon. the only consolation was that the pak haji driver took only 5hrs to reach singapore...guess he was trying to kejar waktu zuhor and asar..hehehehe
2)My hotel i.e. hotel f*rama(fill in the vowel) had many baby cockroaches in the ROOM of all places..everytime we return from shopping..my darling B2 had to use her sandals to squash the pests...
3)Everything was slow in KL...the cash register at A&W broke down and the staff had to use calculators!!!
4)All the prices does not include the 5% gov tax..is it so difficult to include them upfront??

Praises
1)the rail system was surprisingly efficient
2)food was very good
3)things were generally cheap
4)the petaling st night market was heaven...if u know how to bargain that is..

speaking of which..i had a funny incident at petaling st. I wanted to buy a T-shirt..the uncle quoted me RM35..i shook my head and walked away..as soon as i took my first step..he shouted RM30..second step i took the price went down further to RM25..third step RM20..fourth step RM15!!! can u believe that?? i did not buy but i was thinking if i had taken 3 more steps i would get it for free...hahahaha.

I also made frens with this owner at petaling st..his name is liew..but i called him abang apek..cos he speaks exactly like the actor in p ramlee's movies..being the kepo one that B2 is, she asked how much is the rent for the stall...it's RM3k...for that amount, he would have to sell at least RM100 per night just to pay the rent..and here we were bargaining with prices that would give them heart attack!!! hahahahaha.....

one more thing i think they should just remove all those traffice lights in KL..cos nobody observes them..not the drivers and certainly not the pedestrians..its a case of who dares wins!! all in all it was a gd trip..would love to go there again...

Thats all folks!!!!
